White House Special Assistant to the President for Disability Policy Kareem Dale will provide opening remarks at the second annual graduation ceremony for Project SEARCH Interns – students with developmental disabilities at Woodrow Wilson High School Tuesday in Washington, D.C. Following Dale's remarks, the U.S. Department of Education's Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services Alexa Posny will deliver the graduation address.
Project SEARCH USA provides employment and education opportunities for individuals with significant disabilities and is dedicated to workforce development that benefits the individual, community, and workplace. The 2012 graduates attending the D.C. ceremony are youth who have completed yearlong internships at the U.S. Departments of Education, Labor and Health and Human Services.
