The White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) will hold a conference call with interested media on Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 2:30 p.m. ET, to discuss a report on the progress of initiatives for the AAPI community. Co-Chair of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders and Assistant to the President Chris Lu will join Initiative Director Kiran Ahuja and Department of Interior Assistant Secretary Rhea Suh to discuss the Obama administration's accomplishments on behalf of the AAPI community. Participants on the call also will discuss the release of the report, "Continuing Progress for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Community, Federal Agency Accomplishments," and the launch of an historic AAPI Theme Study. Additionally, they will preview upcoming public engagement events and current and future efforts toward increasing access and participation among AAPIs in federal programs.
