U.S. Under Secretary Martha Kanter will join U.S. Rep. John Sarbanes and a student representative at the University of Maryland in Baltimore at 12:30 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Jan. 31 for a panel discussion with students on college affordability. She will discuss steps the Administration has taken to keep college affordable and will unveil new material for borrowers about the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. This program aims to provide federal student loan relief to borrowers who aspire to work in public service jobs. Kanter will also discuss the importance of completing college and why the President has set a 2020 goal for American to once again lead the world in college graduates.
