U.S. Under Secretary Martha Kanter will give opening remarks at the Asia-Pacific Economic Committee (APEC)’s symposium on Human Capital Policies for Green Growth and Employment at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 20, in Washington, D.C. Kanter will discuss the importance of collaboration in preparing students and workers to transition to greener economies and promote sustainability of our interdependent world. She will highlight the Department’s priorities in STEM education, greening our schools, and educating engaged environmental citizens.
