U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will be the luncheon speaker and moderator of the session, "Prioritizing Completion: A Report from the Commission on Higher Education Attainment," at the American Council on Education's (ACE) annual meeting on Monday, March 4, at 1:15 p.m. ET in Washington, D.C.

The commission, which is comprised of college presidents representing all sectors of higher education, was convened last year to address relevant issues and come up with proactive and creative solutions that support the President's 2020 attainment goals.

Following her remarks, Kanter will moderate a panel of higher education leaders that will discuss strategies to reach the target goals and bring about increased college completion, particularly among first generation, adult learners, and veterans.

ACE is an organization that represents the presidents of U.S. accredited, degree-granting institutions, which include two- and four-year colleges, private and public universities, and nonprofit and for-profit entities. Some 1,500 higher education leaders and representatives from business, government, and philanthropy are expected to attend the annual meeting.
