U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will participate in the Harvard Graduate School of Education’s Askwith Forum on Monday, April 30, in Cambridge, Mass. The forum, part of a series of lectures held by the Harvard Graduate School of Education, will invite faculty and other leaders to share knowledge and insight on the challenges facing American education. Kanter will focus her remarks on federal efforts to achieve President Obama’s 2020 goal for America to once again lead the world in college graduates. She will highlight efforts at the federal, state and institution level to keep postsecondary education affordable while improving access, quality and completion for all students. Following her remarks, Kanter will participate in a roundtable discussion with Harvard faculty and other prominent members of the higher education community. She will have the opportunity to both engage the panel and answer questions from the audience.
