U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will deliver keynote remarks at the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) Awards Luncheon honoring U.S. "Professors of the Year" on Thursday, Nov. 15, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. Kanter will focus on the importance of these educators' work in achieving President Obama's goal of having the best-educated workforce and the highest proportion of college graduates in the world by 2020.
The U.S. Professors of the Year awards program celebrates outstanding instructors across the country. Sponsored by CASE and The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, it is the only national program to recognize excellence in undergraduate education. The awards luncheon will honor both state and national winners. For more information on the program, visit http://www.usprofessorsoftheyear.org/.
