U.S. Education Secretary to Give Remarks During Healthy Schools Campaign's National Health Summit

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will discuss the link between healthy students and academic achievement at the Healthy Schools Campaign’s National Health Summit on Wednesday, May 9, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. He also will address how school leaders can ensure that all students receive the quality physical activity and nutrition they need to be successful. A question-and-answer session will follow. U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius will also give remarks.

The Healthy Schools Campaign is a nonprofit organization that addresses environmental health and wellness issues in schools. It advocates for policies and practices that allow all students, teachers and staff to learn and work in healthy school environments.
