U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will be the featured guest at the Atlantic’s second annual town hall focused on education and economic opportunity on Tuesday, March 27, at the Newseum in Washington, D.C. Judy Woodruff, senior correspondent and co-anchor of the PBS NewsHour will interview Duncan, who will discuss the critical link between education and the U.S. economy. He also will discuss the urgent need for education reform in order to educate and prepare students to compete in the 21st-century global economy. A question-and-answer session with the audience will follow.
More than 200 business and education advocates from Capitol Hill, non-governmental organizations, advocacy groups, law firms, think tanks, universities, and businesses will make up the live audience.
