U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will give remarks at the National Academy Foundation’s NEXT Conference on Tuesday, July 17, in Washington, D.C. Duncan will discuss the administration’s blueprint for reforming career and technical education, as well as how the Education Department would implement the $1 billion investment in career academies, proposed as part of the President’s FY 2013 budget. A question-and-answer session will follow.

The National Academy Foundation, founded in 1982, fosters partnerships between the business and education communities to prepare underserved young people for college and career success.
