U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan will deliver remarks at the National Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Legislative Conference on Wednesday, March 7, at 12:15 p.m. ET at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Washington DC – Crystal City. Duncan will discuss the importance of the PTA and parents engaging in improving education at the national, state and local levels.
The National PTA Legislative Conference will include a comprehensive program of workshops that focus on federal support of early learning programs, possible outcomes for the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), the Common Core State Standards, and how to understand the Nation’s Report Card data.
