U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will deliver remarks and take questions at the Washington Post's Children & Families Summit 2013 Tuesday in Washington. Duncan will discuss the importance of high-quality early learning opportunities, especially for disadvantaged children.
The summit will be livestreamed at http://www.washingtonpost.com/postlive/children. It will bring together parents, policymakers and experts to address the needs of America’s children and families. Among the issues to be addressed: strengthening support systems for young people, improving education opportunities and examining the effect of the onslaught of violence — from video games to movies – in our culture today.
