U.S. Education Secretary Arne Duncan to Address Council of the Great City Schools

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will address the Annual Legislative/Policy Conference of the Council of the Great City Schools Sunday in Washington, D.C. The council includes the nation's urban school leaders – superintendents, board members and senior administrators – with Sunday's conference focusing on education legislation, funding and policies. Duncan will discuss President Obama's education priorities in the second term.

On Monday, Deb Delisle, assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education, will speak to the group about the Elementary and Secondary Education Act flexibility, transition to College and Career Ready standards, and the impact of sequestration.
