Michael Yudin, acting assistant secretary for special education and rehabilitative services, will deliver the keynote address to the Greenville Chamber of Commerce's "Shaping the Future—2012 Summit on Education" on Thursday, Oct. 11 in Winterville, N.C. Yudin will discuss the Education Department's cradle-to-career agenda, initiatives designed to meet President Obama's 2020 goal of ensuring that the United States once again is the nation with the highest college attainment rate in the world by the year 2020, and the need to prepare all students for the 21st century global economy.
Yudin heads the Education Department's Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, which includes programs aimed at improving results and outcomes for the nation's infants, toddlers, children and adults with disabilities.
