U.S. Education Deputy Secretary Miller to Deliver Remarks at Native American and Alaska Native Annual Directors Meeting

U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education Tony Miller will deliver brief opening remarks at the Native American and Alaska Native Children in School Program Annual Directors Meeting on Friday at the Education Department in Washington, D.C.

Hosted by the Office of English Language Acquisition, which oversees the program, the event will convene 21 project directors for a one-day technical assistance meeting focused on data-based decision-making.

The Native American and Alaska Native Children in School Program works to develop and provide high levels of academic achievement, increase parental and community engagement, as well as promote native language preservation among English learners in Native American and Alaskan Native communities.
