U.S. Department of Education Senior Advisor on Early Learning Jacqueline Jones will join U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Director, Office Child Care, Shannon Rudisill to deliver remarks on Wednesday, March 7, at the National Child Care Policy Symposium at the Hyatt Regency Washington. They will discuss the Obama Administration’s commitment to early learning, including the Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge, collaborative efforts of the Departments on child care issues, and equal opportunities for child care and education for all children.
The Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge has awarded funding to 9 states that have committed to dramatically improve the quality of early learning and development programs serving children with high needs. Research shows the importance of early learning investment in building strong and safe communities, developing leaders who can strengthen our national security and developing an educated workforce we need to succeed in a competitive global economy.
