U.S. Department of Education Senior Advisor on Early Learning Jacqueline Jones will deliver remarks entitled “The Evolution of Early Learning at the U.S. Department of Education,” at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) 2011 conference at 4:30 p.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 4, in Orlando, Fla. Jones will discuss the Obama administration’s commitment to early learning and provide an update on the Race To the Top-Early Learning Challenge.

The Race to the Top-Early Learning Challenge will award funding to states that engage in breakthrough work to dramatically improve the quality of early learning and development programs serving high-need children. Research shows that high-quality early learning education reduces crime, strengthens national security, and builds a base of educated children prepared to succeed in a competitive global economy.
