Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services Alexa Posny will address the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) Project Directors Conference on Monday, July 23, at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. Posny will update attendees on the Department's disability strategy, and on the inclusion of children with disabilities in broader education reforms.
The conference brings together OSEP-funded projects to explore issues regarding preparation, research, technical assistance, technology, and policy and their implications for improving results for children with disabilities. Conference participants will address current issues and concerns in the field, share information and knowledge across projects, and provide an opportunity for project directors and staff to network and form alliances.
