U.S. Education Department Senior Policy Advisor Karen Gross will host a town hall at Dover High School as part of a series of conversations the Department is having with students and families on college affordability. The forum will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 8.

Gross will deliver brief remarks and then take questions from junior and senior high school students, teachers and administrators. During the event, Gross will also discuss the importance of FAFSA completion and share information about the Administration’s initiatives to make college more affordable, including increased grant aid, a variety of loan repayment options, and tax credits, to name a few.

While in town, Gross will also engage with military spouses at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard to discuss higher education opportunities for service members and their families, as well as other education issues for military-connected school children such as course credit transfers due to frequent moves among school districts. In addition, Gross will have a roundtable with the President of and leaders at the University of New Hampshire. These closed-press discussions are part of a series of conversations that senior Obama Administration officials are having with the higher education community across the country on the importance of college access and affordability.
