Senior Official to Give Remarks at U.S. Distance Learning Association 2011 National Policy Forum

John S. Wilson, executive director of the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), will give remarks at the U.S. Distance Learning Association (USDLA) 2011 National Policy Forum on Thursday, Oct. 6, in Washington, D.C. He will discuss the importance of HBCUs in educating the nation’s students, as well as budget and funding cuts occurring at these institutions and throughout higher education. In addition, Wilson will address the work being done to sustain the initiative and share highlights from the 2011 HBCU Week Conference.

The National Policy Forum will give USDLA members and others the opportunity to hear about current national issues affecting distance learning and to listen to new ideas and thoughts being shared about the distance learning industry.
