Senior Official to Discuss Importance of Community Involvement in Education Reform at Chesterfield County Public Schools’ Annual Business and Community Appreciation Breakfast

Brenda Girton-Mitchell, director of the U.S. Department of Education’s Center for Faith-Based and Neighborhood Partnerships, will keynote Chesterfield County Public Schools’ annual Business and Community Appreciation Breakfast on Friday, March 15, in Richmond, Va. She will discuss the importance of connecting schools and community-based organizations, both business and faith-based, in order to help raise student achievement.

The audience will consist of civic, government, business and religious leaders from the Richmond metropolitan area. During the event, more than 200 organizations will be recognized for their support of public education.
