Acting Assistant Secretary for Postsecondary Education David Bergeron will deliver the luncheon address at the College Savings Foundation’s summit, College Cost Conundrum: Why is College So Expensive?, at 12:45 p.m. ET, on Wednesday, Dec. 5, in Washington, D.C.

Bergeron’s remarks will reiterate the Administration’s focus on shared responsibility among states, institutions, and the federal government to keep college costs manageable. The day-long summit, which brings together thought leaders, policymakers, and researchers from government, education and business, will feature a variety of discussions related to the economics of higher education, including factors that escalate the price of the American dream, how families can benefit from cost-cutting innovations, and what can be done to bend back the higher education cost curve.
