Michael Yudin, the U.S. Education Department’s acting assistant secretary for elementary and secondary education, will give the keynote address at the annual conference of the National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) at 2:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, Feb. 16 in Dallas, Texas.
Yudin will discuss the Department’s initiatives to support bilingual students and English language learners through a combination of targeted programs and comprehensive efforts to improve education for all students. Some 3,000 bilingual and English-as-a-second language teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, university professors and researchers, students, advocates, policymakers, and parents are expected to attend NABE’s 41st annual conference.
