U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan and Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services Alexa Posny will answer questions on achieving educational excellence as part of a Twitter Town Hall at 3 p.m. ET Wednesday.
The event is being hosted by the Council for Exceptional Children as part of its 2012 Convention and Expo in Denver.
Duncan and Posny, from Washington, will respond to questions via Twitter on a range of education topics, among them — helping improve results and outcomes for children and youth with disabilities. They will also address other issues, such as the importance of early learning for all children, great teachers, high student achievement, and college and career readiness.
The council’s Annual Convention and Expo brings together experts and stakeholders in the field of special education to discuss current topics, research and practices to help children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.
