The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans (Initiative) will continue their African American Education Summit (Summit) series at Skyline College in San Bruno, California at 1 p.m. PT on Friday, Sept. 30.
The Summit will provide a platform for students to share their perspectives, firsthand, and contribute to designing solutions that accelerate educational excellence for African Americans and that address critical needs in the African American community and the greater society, more generally. The goal is to recognize, embrace and provide a space for African American youth to form meaningful connections with peers, learn about available resources to support their learning and development, and to make recommendations for actions that caring and concerned adults can take to ensure all African American students are safe, engaged and supported in schools and in life.
