U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan to Discuss Vision for Higher Education During Event at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County

U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will join higher education leaders from across the country at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, on Monday, July 27, at 9:30 a.m. EDT for a conversation on the future of America's higher education system, including how colleges and universities across the country are equipping students to be successful and how the U.S. Department of Education can help ensure that all Americans can earn an affordable, high-quality college degree.

Duncan will open with remarks on his vision for higher education before moderating a panel discussion that will highlight innovative approaches that institutions are taking to increase access, affordability and student success. The panel will include leaders from UMBC, Louisiana State University, LaGuardia (NY) Community College, the North Carolina Community College System, Morgan State University and the State University of New York.
