U.S. Education Under Secretary Ted Mitchell to Discuss Innovation in Higher Education at Education Conference

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Ted Mitchell will speak at the South by Southwest Education Conference (SXSWedu) in Austin, Texas at 12:30 p.m. CT on Monday, March 7.

Mitchell will be part of the "Wisdom of Higher Ed Pioneers in 7 Minutes or Less" session, where he will outline the imperative for finding new approaches to serve the Department's goals of equity and completion, and discuss the key role of the federal government in encouraging innovation. The session, hosted by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, brings together a collection of thought leaders, CEOs, and other practitioners to share groundbreaking ideas, innovations or concepts in fast-paced vignettes, designed to help professionals in higher education continue to innovate and improve student success.
