U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. will keynote the 2016 Asian & Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) Higher Education Summit on Thursday, June 16, in Washington, D.C. He will highlight the critical needs of Asian American and Pacific Islander students, and discuss how higher education can shape their roles in the nation's economy.
The all-day summit—"Service, Technology & Culture: Preparing Our Future Students"—will focus on strengthening existing collaborations and developing partnerships to accelerate student access and success in higher education. There will be presentations, panels, and breakout sessions, all addressing ways to serve and support Asian and Pacific Islander students.
