U.S. Education Secretary John B. King Jr. will host a press call to discuss the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), and how the Administration will continue to work with states and districts to better serve the nation’s most vulnerable students, including homeless students.
ESSA presents the opportunity to reclaim the promise of a well-rounded, excellent education for all students and ensure their civil rights are protected. The new bipartisan law expands the work that this Administration, states, school districts, and schools across the country have already started to prepare students for college, career and beyond. Materials related to the press call will be sent out at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.
