U.S. Department of Education officials will address enhancing inclusive services for students with disabilities in a panel discussion at the 14th National Early Childhood Inclusion Institute Tuesday in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Libby Doggett, deputy assistant secretary for policy and early learning, and Ruth Ryder, deputy director of the Department’s Office of Special Education Programs, will take part in the panel at the William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education.
The conference, presented by the Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, brings together experts from a variety of early childhood sectors to learn, share and problem-solve about inclusion for young children in quality education opportunities.
Doggett and Ryder will join other federal officials on the panel in sharing emerging information on federal early childhood policies and initiatives related to inclusive services for infants and young children and their families.
