U.S. Education Official to Join Vermont Congressional Delegation in Panel Discussing Education Reform

Deputy Assistant Secretary for Rural Outreach John White will represent the U.S. Department of Education during a panel discussion with the Vermont congressional delegation regarding school reform on Thursday, Oct. 28 at the Vermont School Boards Association/Vermont Superintendents Association fall conference. White will discuss the administration’s strategies for school reform and its proposed blueprint for reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).

On Friday, White will travel to Newport, Vt., to visit North Country Union High School and North Country Career and Technical Center.
