Jim Shelton, assistant deputy secretary for the Office of Innovation and Improvement, will discuss the need for the learning sciences to play a more substantial role in the development of learning products and the need for both a new infrastructure for learning and learning technology at the Games for Change eighth annual festival in New York City on Tuesday, June 21.

Founded in 2004, Games for Change is a leading global advocate for supporting and making games for social impact. Its annual festival brings together leaders from government, corporations, academia, the gaming industry and others to explore the increasing real-world impact of digital games as an agent for social change. The festival is also a showcase for some of the most innovative new games in production.
