Senior U.S. Education Official to Discuss Preparing Teachers of English Learners at 2014 WIDA National Conference in Atlanta

Libia S. Gil, assistant deputy secretary and director of the Office of English Language Acquisition (OELA), will address educators, teachers and school administrators at the 2014 WIDA National Conference in Atlanta, Georgia on Thursday, Oct. 23 at 5:15 p.m. ET.   Gil will discuss the national profile and data trends for English Learners, federal policy implications for teaching English Learners and in particular the education of Native American English Learners.
