Michael Robbins, senior advisor for nonprofit partnerships at the U.S. Department of Education, will participate in a panel discussion at Strive Network’s Cradle to Career Network Convening in Dallas on Thursday, Sept. 26. He will address school district engagement in cradle-to-career partnerships and promising practices for strengthening collaborations among schools, families, and community-based organizations. In addition, Robbins will highlight the Department’s Together for Tomorrow initiative that addresses the value of community partnerships in helping to propel school improvement and turn around low-performing schools.

This year’s convening—“Gateways to Quality: Raising the Bar of Collective Impact Together”—will take place Sept. 25-27 and will bring together more than 350 educators, elected officials, community and business leaders, and others.
Strive, a subsidiary of KnowledgeWorks, works with communities nationwide to unite stakeholders around shared goals, measures and results in education.
