The White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics (Initiative) will host a Community Convening in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday, Oct. 14 at 10:30 a.m. During the convening, Alejandra Ceja, executive director of the Initiative, will recognize the Bright Spots in Hispanic Education and Commitments to Action from the Phoenix-area.
Ceja will also recognize, Beatriz E. Rendon, vice president of Educational Outreach for Arizona State University, as a member of President Obama’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, as well as share insight with community leaders about federal resources available to the community.
