Director of the Office of Special Education Programs Melody Musgrove will serve as a panelist in a discussion on advancing quality for all children at the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) annual conference Thursday, Nov. 4 in Anaheim, Calif. Musgrove will discuss OSEP’s goals and activities to improve the quality of early development and learning across settings, and how practitioners, researchers and others can help shape and implement high quality experiences for all children.
Musgrove will be joined by Yvette Sanchez Fuentes, Office of Head Start and Shannon Rudisill, Office of Child Care, both from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. NAEYC President Stephanie Fanjul will moderate this featured session, titled “President’s Seminar: Advancing Quality for All Children.” The panelists will discuss improving services for children from birth through age eight in areas such as the workforce, standards, access, quality supports, and quality assurance.
More than 20,000 early childhood education professionals for children from birth through age eight are expected to attend the event.
