Marco A. Davis, deputy director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics, will participate in the “Texas Bright Spots Convening” being held at Lifeworks in Austin, Texas beginning at 12:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday, Feb. 24. The convening, co-hosted by E3 Alliance and the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, will recognize the Texas-based Bright Spots in Hispanic Education. E3 Alliance uses objective data and focused community collaboration to align education systems so all students succeed and lead Central Texas to economic prosperity.
Davis will deliver remarks and lead a conversation about the work of these Bright Spots and encourage continued collaboration between them and stakeholders focused on similar issues in sharing data-driven approaches, promising practices, peer advice and effective partnerships, resulting in increased support for the educational attainment of the Hispanic community.
Davis and Bright Spot representatives will be available for media opportunities at the end of the convening, at 3p.m. CT.
