Senior Advisor Jo Anderson will discuss Federal support for advancing student achievement through labor-management collaboration at the “Labor-Management Collaboration: A Conference for Educators,” sponsored by the Teachers Union and Reform Network (TURN) on Thursday, May 5 in Los Angeles. The conference will address managing budgets during a crisis and how transparency and clarity will enable organizations to maintain trust through the budget process. Additional conference sponsors include the WestEd School Turnaround Center and the California Comprehensive Center. TURN is comprised of affiliates of the National Education Association and the American Federation of Teachers. TURN leaders meet three times a year to discuss and explore issues related to education reform and the role of teacher unions in advancing public education.
