Michael Robbins, the U.S. Department of Education’s senior advisor for nonprofit partnerships, will give remarks at the 2nd annual Communities for Change Symposium at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, in Louisville, Ky.

Sponsored by nFocus Software in partnership with Metro United Way, Jefferson County Public Schools, and the city of Louisville, the symposium aims to help local leaders use data to improve program quality and outcomes, mobilize community resources, and connect support services for youth. Robbins will discuss the work of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships to mobilize faith and community organizations to achieve positive outcomes for youth, as well as the role that community-based organizations play in creating a culture of education success and helping to turn around our nation's lowest-performing schools.
