Senior Administration Officials to Discuss Outcomes for Disconnected Youth During Los Angeles Events

Senior officials from the White House and the U.S. Department of Education will participate in a panel discussion and school visit as part of the PolicyLink's Equity Summit 2015 in Los Angeles on Thursday, Oct. 29.

The panel discussion will include Broderick Johnson, Assistant to the President, White House Cabinet Secretary and Chair of the My Brother's Keeper Task Force, who will make an announcement around new grants for innovative programs focused on improving outcomes for disconnected youth. Afterward, Johnson will join Michael Smith, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director Of Cabinet Affairs For My Brother's Keeper and Johan Uvin, Acting Assistant Secretary for Career, Technical, and Adult Education, for a visit to Boyle Heights Technology Youth Center in Los Angeles.
