Secretary John B. King Jr. and Under Secretary Ted Mitchell to Give Remarks at Conference Focused on Improving College Outcomes for Pell Students

U.S. Secretary of Education John B. King Jr. will give remarks at a conference focused on improving outcomes for Pell-eligible students enrolled in college. The event – Championing Completion: Improving College Outcomes for Pell Students – hosted by the U.S. Department of Education on Thursday, March 24, in Washington, D.C., will bring together college and university leaders from institutions that have made significant strides in increasing college access and success for low-income students. The event will focus on the promising and proven practices developed by these institutions to deepen the impact of this important work nationwide.

U.S. Under Secretary Ted Mitchell and Ajita Talwalker Menon, Special Assistant to the President for Higher Education Policy, White House Domestic Policy, will give opening remarks, and King will deliver closing remarks at the event.
