U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will give the luncheon plenary address at the 4th annual conference of Communities for Public Education Reform (CPER) at Noon on Monday, May 23, in Alexandria, Va. He will address the importance of widespread community support in order for education reform to succeed.
CPER is a collaborative of national, state, and local funders supporting community-led efforts to improve educational opportunities and outcomes for students in low-income areas. The conference will bring together over 300 education leaders and philanthropists from across the country.
