Secretary Duncan joins White House and Interior Officials to Preview President’s Proposed FY2016 Budget Initiatives for Native Youth, Indian Education

WASHINGTON, D.C.– U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan, U.S. Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell and Interior Assistant Secretary-Indian Affairs Kevin Washburn will join Jodi Gillette, President Obama’s Special Assistant for Native American Affairs, for a press call to preview the Administration’s proposed fiscal year 2016 budget initiatives for Native Youth and Indian Education today, Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at 3:30 p.m. EST.

Today’s preview discussion will focus on the Departments of the Interior and Education fiscal year 2016 budget portions of an integrative, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate approach across the federal government to help improve lives and opportunities for Native American youth.
