Secretary Arne Duncan to Deliver Keynote Remarks at 2014 East Coast Asian American Student Union Conference in Washington D.C.

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will deliver keynote remarks and talk with students at the East Coast Asian American Student Union's (ECAASU) 2014 Conference on Friday, Feb. 21 at 7:35 p.m. at George Washington University, Smith Center in Washington, D.C. The conference will bring together 1,200 Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) college students, focusing on the theme "Mission IGNITION: Champion Your Cause" to encourage students to pursue mission-oriented work.

White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (WHIAAPI) Executive Director Kiran Ahuja will moderate the dialogue between Secretary Duncan and the students. The dialogue will focus on the Administration's commitment to common sense immigration reform, the President's 2020 education goals, and WHIAAPI's work with minority serving institutions, including Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs).
