Today, U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate in a press conference call to announce new efforts to gather public input about the Obama Administration's proposals to address rising college costs and make college more affordable for American families.

In August, President Obama unveiled a landmark plan to address our country's crisis of college affordability and student debt. Since then, Secretary Duncan and department officials have participated in outreach events with stakeholder groups and individuals across the country to help the Department better understand how best to promote college value and affordability.

Today's call will highlight these efforts and also announce new plans to engage the public at events this fall on college campuses across the country and online.
