Alejandra Ceja, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics (Initiative), will provide remarks at the President's Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanics (Commission) on Tuesday, Dec. 6 in Washington, D.C. The day-long meeting begins at 9 a.m. ET.
The meeting will focus on a discussion on the priorities of the Commission for 2017 and highlights from the Initiative. In addition, there will be an opportunity to hear the accomplishments and priorities for each subcommittee—Early Learning, K-12 Education, and Postsecondary Education—at the Commission meeting.
The 29-member Commission meets twice a year as a full committee to discuss key topics relevant to the Hispanic community and priorities for the year. The Commission advises President Obama and U.S. Secretary John B. King Jr. on issues important and relevant to the Latino community, from cradle-to-career. You can also follow @HispanicEd for updates.
