Kiran Ahuja, executive director of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPIs), and Daphne Kwok, chair of the President’s Advisory Commission on AAPIs, will be among the featured speakers Wednesday in Washington, D.C., at the launch by the Center for American Progress of a comprehensive new report series on "The State of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders."
The series examines social and economic indicators and makes recommendations for improving data collection for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The center is co-authoring the work with AAPI Data, a project of the University of California, Riverside, and seeks to make data on these communities more accessible and easier to understand.
Reporters planning to cover the event should RSVP with the Center for American Progress here.
