Education Under Secretary Martha Kanter will join U.S. Rep. Rush Holt on Wednesday, May 18, to host a town hall with students and faculty from Mercer County Community College (MCCC) and local higher education leaders and stakeholders. The town hall will be at 1 p.m. in MCCC's Conference Center Auditorium in West Windsor, N.J.
During their visit to MCCC, Under Secretary Kanter and Rep. Holt will meet with the presidents of New Jersey universities and community colleges, and they will learn about MCCC's unique efforts to prepare students for the 21st century job market. The town hall will provide students and faculty an opportunity to voice to the Department their views on higher education policy and to share their needs. The conversation will also inform efforts to strengthen community colleges nationwide and boost college completion.
