Education Under Secretary Discusses States' Role in Higher Education at National Lieutenant Governors Association Meeting

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will address the role and responsibility of states in increasing access, quality and completion in higher education at 8:15 a.m. on Friday, March 25, during the National Lieutenant Governors Association’s annual federal-state relations meeting. Kanter will address about 20 lieutenant governors from across the nation and territories as well as Fortune 1000 company lobbyists during the event, which will be held at the Westin City Center in Washington, D.C.

The annual federal-state meeting allows lieutenant governors and other attendees to meet with members of Congress and the Administration to enhance intergovernmental relations and to discuss federal work that affects states.
