U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan will participate on a panel at the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL) Forum at 8:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday, April 14, in Washington, D. C. Panelists will discuss how social and emotional factors support student achievement. A question and answer session will follow the panel. CASEL is a non-profit organization that works with families, schools and communities to establish social and emotional learning as essential parts of education and to promote children’s healthy development and success in school and life.
